Sprinklers
Although they are not our main product range, the design and manufacture of sprinkler systems nevertheless forms part of FB Procédés' know-how.
|
Supplied from above or below, stand-up or hang-up, with variable flow rates, FB Procédés Sprinklers, some of which are motorised, can be set up in a wide variety of situations.
The operating system remains simple. Water flows by gravity or is pumped into the fixed central column, also called the supply column. Then the outflow passes through holes into a rotating body forming a pressure chamber. It then flows into arms rigidly connected to the body, and escapes through distribution holes judiciously positioned to sprinkle the bacteria bed.

 |
In the case of two flow rates of distribution, a second pressure chamber, concentric with the first is added. Each chamber supplies a distinct group of arms. The sprinkler is set in rotation, using the energy of the pressure of the water column in the pressure chamber. This pressure becomes a driving force when it is transmitted to the distribution holes (all on the same side of the arms).
|
|
To ensure rotation, a conical bearing is located above the overflow, at the top of the supply column and is protected by a cover. It is generously sized to absorb all the axial and radial forces and also give better stability to the body. Below the arms, between the supply column and the body, a ring of PEHD 1000 ensures watertightness and guides the lower part (This applies to small or medium-sized sprinklers; the device can differ on bigger ones). A leakage flow, negligible but necessary, lubricates the ring. The ring is very quick and easy to replace.

The distribution arms are connected to the revolving body by clamps and braced by guy wires (stainless cable) when required by the span of the sprinkler. The end of each arm is fitted with either a PVC screw-in plug or a clamped gasket valve. This quick removal device allows
the arms to be cleaned without disassembly.
